Wedding & Event Executive (February / March 2016)

This role requires an experienced motivated, energetic and enthusiastic person to work as part of a team in this exciting position.  To be considered for this role all applicants must hold a similar position, have a hotel background, excellent food and beverage and hotel service standards to enable them to meet the client expectation for a range of wedding and private events, conference, incentive proposals, following through to delivery stage.

Responsibilities will include:

Taking calls, taking bookings, preparing contracts and proposals for weddings, meetings and events at the Hotel
Preparing and updating menus, floorplans and table plans for all events
Following up on all enquiries and provisional bookings
Arranging show-arounds and final detail appointments as required
Taking responsibility for accommodation bookings associated with the event
Preparing and distributing proposals and contracts documentation
Preparing sales report and revenue reports as required
Liaising with management and the food & beverage team regarding room set ups etc.
Agreeing menus
Preparing function sheets for distribution to the hotel team
Updating goldmine as required
Communicate closely with the Head Chef, Reception Manager and the Restaurant Manager to discuss upcoming events and menu options.
Liaising with the chef and printing of all menus in the hotel and updating them accordingly
On occassion to answer the phone and take general reservations.
All items in relation to events must be updated in a calendar request to all departments with up-to-date floor plans, seating plans, running orders, memos, menus & payment schedules.
To attend to any reasonable request made by the Sales & Marketing Manager.

This role is 5 days over 7 to include weekends and bank-holidays as required.

All applicants must have at least 2/3 years' experience in a similar role in a 4* deluxe/5* environment.

 

Food & Beverage Positions

Food & Beverage Assistants (positions for February/ March 2016)

Applicants for this positions must have completed an apprenticeship, or similar, and/or  have experience within a similar role.

 

Chef De Partie (Positions for March / April 2016)

Applicants for this positions must have completed an apprenticeship, or similar, and/or  have a minimum two-year experience within a similar role.

 

Kitchen Porter (Position from February / March 2016)

Employees will also receive complimentary use of the hotel leisure facilities. All applicants must be available to work up to five days over seven days to be considered for the positions. These roles are on a rostered basis including weekends and bank-holiday work.

 

Other positions

Accommodation Supervisor (February/ March 2016)

The role is required to ensure that the standard of hygiene in guest and public areas, furnishings, lighting and décor and hygiene is maintained to a consistently high standard in the Hotel. You will also be responsible for checking and monitoring the standards of cleanliness and presentation in all areas of the Hotel.

All applicants should have 12-24 months experience as a supervisor in a similar 4/ 5* accommodation department,  however full training will be provided in sheen Falls Lodge's standards   You will be required to lead by example and to have a good eye for detail in this role.  You will also  be required to work on your own initiative and be capable of taking responsibility for a group of people and work with and managing a team of people in the Accommodations Managers absence.

This position is 5 days over 7 to include weekends and bank-holidays.

Qualified Head / Senior Beauty Therapist ( February/ March 2016)

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Beauty Therapist with a CIDESCO and/or CIBTAC qualification in both face and body and also have a minimum of one years' work experience. Our products are Elemis and VOYA so experience with these products is a distinct advantage, however training will be provided. You must be available to work five over seven days per week to include weekends and bank holidays.

Experienced Beauty Therapist
