Step inside the Lodge to the warmth of our open log fires as you experience a festive season you will remember for years to come.  December is always a wonderful time at Sheen Falls Lodge, full of wonder and surprise.

Arrive for a welcome drink before our Festive Afternoon Tea is served, overlooking the enchanting waterfalls.  Take in the views of snow-capped mountains and allow us to take care of you and your family in the tranquility that is the essence of the festive season at Sheen Falls Lodge.  Below is a taster of the programme of exciting events and delicious dining experiences that await you this festive season.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Arrive on Christmas Eve, full of excitement and good cheer for the holiday season, and be whisked indoors out of the winter chill to the warmth of a blazing log fire and beverage. We look after your car and luggage, allowing you ample time to relax after your journey. Our festive Afternoon Tea will be served shortly after your arrival.

Later, dine at your leisure at The Stables Brasserie where you will enjoy the seasonal produce and atmosphere, as everyone’s favourite pianist Jim Kiely plays Christmas Classics to help everyone get in the Christmas spirit.

After dinner, you can choose to relax in the Sheen Bar with a nightcap, or perhaps to unwind in the library as you browse our vast collection of contemporary and classic literature in the glow of the log fire.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Awake on Christmas morning to the spectacular view of Kenmare Bay or the Sheen waterfalls before you enjoy a special Christmas breakfast, perhaps you will decide to add a glass of Champagne.

Traditional Christmas Day Lunch will later be served, featuring classics such as Sheen Falls Smoked Salmon, Traditional Roast Turkey, and Roasted Sirloin of Hereford Irish Beef.  A relaxed informal buffet will be served in the evening, with more seasonal treats and mouthwatering creations.

Relax in the Sheen Bar with a nightcap, as the final hours of a stress-free Christmas come to a close.

ST STEPHEN’S DAY

Awake at your leisure on St. Stephen’s Day, and perhaps take time in nature after the indulgence of the previous day.  A range of activities will take place, such as our Treasure Hunt around the estate, and of course our immensely popular annual Clay Pigeon Shoot.

Later that evening soak up the party atmosphere with a drinks & canape reception, followed by a specially created 5-course dinner complimented by carefully chosen wines. Music and song from Jim Kiely & Friends will keep the party going until the early hours.
